Let's be honest. These two classic American luxury brands have a long history of facing off against each other. Both have a long, storied reputation for transporting presidents, celebrities, and dignitaries, and both have played important parts in the success of the American automotive industry. We thought it a good idea to take a look at each automaker's SUV lines, to see if one enjoys a noticeable advantage over the other.

Lincoln offers our Washington and Oregon customers four models from which to choose: the Lincoln MKC, Lincoln MKX, Lincoln MKT, and Lincoln Navigator. Cadillac only offers three models: XT4, Xt5, and the Escalade.

The Lincoln MKC and Cadillac XT4 both offer the compact styling that makes for easier handling, Both feature a 2.0-liter inline-four engine, but the Lincoln MKC offers drivers more horsepower and torque from its powerplant.

When it comes to midsized SUVs, Lincoln provides shoppers with a better variety of options. Both the Lincoln MKX and Lincoln MKT are members of this class, with the XT5 being Cadillac's only entry. Both Lincoln models offer families more cargo space than the XT5 does, whether the rear seat is upright or lowered.

Both the Lincoln Navigator and the Cadillac Escalade represent the ultimate in luxurious SUVs. Interestingly, the turbocharged V6 engine at the heart of the Lincoln Navigator delivers more horsepower and torque than the Escalade's V8 makes, yet the Lincoln Navigator outperforms the Escalade when it comes to EPA-estimated fuel economy.
